Before going outside, apply to clean, dry skin and rub in for twenty minutes. It is recommended to apply about 35mL on an adult of average size. This is the same as applying one teaspoon of sunscreen on the front, back, arm, leg, and face (including the neck and ears).
Use a broad-brimmed hat, sunglasses, protective clothing, and shade as your five main forms of sun protection. On the skin that is still exposed, apply sunscreen. Refrain from spending too much time in the sun and never rely just on sunscreen to keep your family outside longer.
