The MiniMed Quick-set is a widely used infusion set that offers excellent comfort and ease of use. Featuring a soft cannula, hypoallergenic tape, and easy insertion with the Quick-Serter device, even in difficult-to-reach areas, it is an ideal choice for both children and adults of average to larger build.
If insulin or any liquid enters the tubing connector, it can temporarily block the vents that allow the pump to properly prime the infusion set. This may lead to the delivery of too little or too much insulin, potentially causing hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia. To prevent insulin from entering the Quick-set tubing connector, always ensure the insulin vial is held upright when removing the reservoir from the transfer guard after filling it. Failing to do so may cause insulin to spill onto the top of the reservoir, transferring liquid into the tubing connector.
