• Astra Recharge is a combination of herbs, including high-strength
Astragalus and the mushroom Reishi. This unique formula supports
recovery from illness, targeting the multi-faceted symptom picture
of debility, low energy, poor immune health and brain fog as well as
increased stress and poor sleep.
• Astra Recharge is suitable to be used either during the winter months
following illness, or at any time during the year to support recovery
from general debility and fatigue and in times of high stress.
• Astra Recharge contains Holixer™, a clinically studied extract of
Ocimum tenuiflorum (Holy basil), to relieve the symptoms of stress,
promote body adaptation to stress and improve sleep quality.
• Astra Recharge also contains the mushroom Reishi. Reishi is listed
among the superior tonics in the oldest surviving Chinese materia
medica and has been considered “the mushroom of immortality” in
China, Japan, Korea and other Asian countries for more than 4000
years.

DRUG INTERACTIONS
• Contraindicated with sirolimus - Schisandra increases concentrations
in the blood which increases the risk of adverse effects.
• Caution with immunosuppressant medication given the immune
stimulating nature of the formula.
• Caution with drugs metabolised by the CYP3A4 enzyme - Schisandra
may potentiate the effects. Monitor.
• Caution with midazolam (benzodiazepine) - Schisandra increases
the amount of drug in the body, increasing the risk of side effects.
• Caution with heart or blood pressure medications, including Digoxin -
concurrent use with Siberian ginseng may increase drug effects.
CAUTIONS
• Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding as specific
safety data is lacking.
• Astragalus is not recommended for use during the acute stage of an
infection.
SIDE EFFECTS
• Reishi and Schisandra may cause mild gastrointestinal discomfort
such as abdominal discomfort, heartburn, gastric discomfort, nausea,
dyspepsia, flatulence or bloating in sensitive individuals.
• Some reports of potential blood pressure increase have been
documented in hypertensive patients when using Siberian ginseng.
However, a causal relationship to the use of Siberian ginseng has not
been established.
