Colofac contains mebeverine hydrochloride, an antispasmodic medicine that works by relaxing the muscles in the gut. It is used to relieve symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), including abdominal pain and cramps, bowel spasms, persistent non-specific diarrhoea and flatulence. Each tablet contains 135mg of mebeverine hydrochloride and the tablets are supplied in a blister pack of 30.

Mebeverine Hydrochloride 135mg per tablet.

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. 

 

The usual adult dose is one tablet three times daily, preferably immediately before or during a meal. Swallow the tablet with a glass of water. Follow your doctor's instructions and do not take a double dose if a dose is missed.
