AirPhysio Average Lung Capacity Device is a handheld respiratory physiotherapy device that uses Oscillating Positive Expiratory Pressure (OPEP) technology. When the user exhales through the device, the internal mechanism creates rapid pressure oscillations within the airways. This can help loosen and mobilise mucus, making it easier to clear through coughing. The device is drug-free, portable and designed for regular respiratory airway-clearance routines.
Use only as directed. Consult a healthcare professional before use if you have a respiratory condition, are recovering from surgery or have been advised to use respiratory physiotherapy. Stop use if you experience dizziness, significant shortness of breath, chest pain or other unusual symptoms. Keep the device clean and dry between uses. Do not share the mouthpiece with others.
Sit upright and take a normal breath in. Place the mouthpiece securely between the lips and exhale through the device as instructed by the manufacturer. Maintain a controlled, steady exhalation and repeat for the recommended number of breaths. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and frequency of use.
