  • Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml contains proparacaine hydrochloride, which works by blocking the nerve signals that cause pain and discomfort in your eye.
  • Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml can be used for corneal anesthesia of short duration, such as during tonometry (eye pressure measurement), gonioscopy (angle examination), or removal of corneal foreign bodies. It can also be used for short corneal and conjunctival procedures, such as suturing or scraping.
  • Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml is easy to use and comes with a sterile dropper bottle that delivers one drop at a time.

How To Use:

  • Follow your doctor's instructions on when and how to use Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml. You will need to use it only under the direct supervision of a healthcare provider.
  • Wash your hands before and after using Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml. Do not touch the tip of the bottle or dropper to your eye or any other surface to avoid contamination.
  • Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Hold the bottle or dropper above your eye and squeeze out one drop into the pocket. Close your eye gently and press your finger to the inside corner of your eye for about a minute to prevent the drop from draining out.
  • Depending on the procedure or test, you may need to use one or two drops in each eye before operating, or one drop in each eye every 5 to 10 minutes for 5 to 7 doses.
  • Do not use Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml more often or longer than prescribed by your doctor.

  • Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml is not for everyone. Do not use it if you are allergic to proparacaine hydrochloride or any of its ingredients.
  • Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml may cause serious side effects, such as allergic reactions, corneal damage, infection, or increased eye pressure. Tell your doctor right away if you experience any signs of these conditions, such as redness, swelling, itching, burning, pain, blurred vision, or sensitivity to light.
  • Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml may interact with other medicines or supplements you are using, especially those that affect your eyes or nervous system. Tell your doctor about all the medicines and supplements you use before using Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml.
  • Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml may affect your vision temporarily. Do not drive or operate machinery until your vision is clear and you are fully alert.
  • Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml may harm an unborn baby or pass into breast milk. Do not use Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Use effective birth control while using Alcaine 0.5% Eye Drops 15Ml.
