Benzyl alcohol, another ingredient in the cream, has the potential to trigger allergic reactions and mild local irritation. Patients run the risk of suffering severe burns, so advise them not to smoke or approach open flames. Fabric that comes into contact with this product burns more quickly and poses a serious fire risk. This includes bedding, dressings, and clothing. While washing bedding and clothes can help, product buildup won't entirely disappear.
