Hydrochloric acid to regulate pH, 0.5 mg sodium metabisulfite, 1.8 mg sodium chloride, 0.3 mg of epinephrine, and Water for Injection are all contained in each 0.3 mL of the EpiPen Auto-Injector. It ranges from 2.2 to 5.0 pH.February 19, 2023

 

Orient the orange tip perpendicularly, or at a right angle, to the middle of the outer thigh (upper leg). The auto-injector should be firmly pushed and swung until it "clicks." The injection has begun as indicated by the click. Hold still for three seconds (count carefully from one to three).
