Fisons Protamine Sulfate is a sterile, clear and colourless solution for injection containing protamine sulfate 50mg in each 5mL ampoule. Protamine sulfate is used in hospital settings to neutralise the anticoagulant effect of heparin, including when excessive bleeding occurs following heparin administration, before or after surgery, or after renal dialysis.

Protamine Sulfate 50mg per 5mL ampoule (10mg/mL).

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. 

 

For intravenous administration by a healthcare professional only. The dose depends on the amount of heparin requiring neutralisation. Fisons Protamine Sulfate should be administered by slow intravenous injection over approximately 10 minutes. No more than one 5mL ampoule (50mg) should be administered at one time.
