Gelofusine is a colloidal plasma volume substitute containing succinylated gelatin in physiological saline. It is used for the treatment of relative or absolute hypovolaemia and shock, and may also be used to help prevent hypotension associated with certain surgical procedures and as part of extracorporeal circulation procedures. It is supplied as a clear, colourless to slightly yellow sterile solution in a 500mL non-PVC infusion bag.

Succinylated Gelatin 20g/500mL.

For intravenous infusion only. The dose, duration and rate of infusion are determined by the treating healthcare professional according to the patient's fluid or blood loss and clinical condition. The patient should be monitored during administration.
