Method 1: Cone (Chinetsukyu)
Take a small amount of moxa and roll into a tiny cone or ball
Place on the treatment point (often over ointment or medium)
Light the top of the cone
Allow heat to build gradually
Remove before it becomes too hot
Method 2: Needle-Head Moxa
Attach a small amount of moxa to the end of an acupuncture needle
Light the moxa
Let the heat transfer gently through the needle into the point
