Have the user lie on their side in a comfortable position.
Insert the narrow end of the candle gently into the outer ear canal (do not force).
Ensure the candle is held upright and secure.
Light the top (wide end) of the candle.
Allow the candle to burn slowly until it reaches the marked line (usually 10–15 minutes).
Extinguish safely in water before it burns too low.
Repeat on the other ear if required (use a new candle).
