Key antioxidant components include a variety of phenolics (neochlorogenic acids, chlorogenic acids, cryptochlorogenic acids, cinchonain I and IIx, and viburtinoside derivative), flavonoids ((+)-catechins and (-)-epicatechins), and proanthocyanidins (procyanidin B1 and B2, procyanidin trimer I and II, and procyanidin C1).
