The traditional whisk (Chasen) and scoop (Chashaku) are each handcrafted from a single piece of environmentally sustainable bamboo. The purpose of the whisk is to mix and aerate the matcha, giving it a rich and creamy froth and creating a lump free tea. The scoop measures out the perfect amount of your matcha powder as well as stirring your matcha when it settles.

Soak whisk tines (prongs) in cold water for 1-2 minutes before first use. The whisk should be cleaned and dried after each use. To clean the whisk, fill a bowl with clean lukewarm water and rotate the whisk. Then rinse it gently with clean water. Never use washing up liquid. After rinsing, stand the whisk on its base so the tines are sticking up to air dry. Store in a well-ventilated area and not in the container. Avoid direct sunlight. Wipe scoop clean with paper towel.
