It is designed to sit over a teacup or teapot spout to catch loose tea leaves as brewed tea is poured, producing a smooth, leaf-free cup. The long handles and twin-wire construction make it easy to position and remove without burning your fingers. Strainers like this enhance the ritual of loose-leaf brewing by giving leaves space to steep fully while keeping your drink clear and enjoyable.
Always follow the instructions.
Prepare Your Cup/Teapot — Place your teacup or teapot ready for brewing.
Position the Strainer — Place the gold strainer over the rim of your cup or the spout of your teapot so the mesh basket sits securely.
Pour Brewed Tea — After steeping your loose leaf tea in hot water (in a separate pot or directly in the cup), slowly pour the liquid through the strainer. The fine mesh captures tea leaves and keeps them out of your cup.
Enjoy — Once the tea has fully filtered, remove the strainer, set it on a drip bowl or small plate, and enjoy your freshly brewed tea.
Clean Up — Tap out spent leaves, rinse the strainer under warm water, and optionally use a small brush to clear any leaf fragments for next time. Stainless steel strainers are easy to maintain with regular rinsing after each use.
