A plastic film is provided to prevent the dressing from sticking to the wound's surface, and it is perforated to allow drainage from the wound to enter into the pad's body. Melolin can be applied alone to treat superficial cuts and abrasions, dry sutured wounds, and other mildly exuding lesions. If supported by a second absorbent dressing, it may also be utilised as the main layer of contact with the wound for wounds that leak more intensively.
Change dressing daily or more often according to the condition of the wound. Seek medical advice immediately for all serious wounds and burns, or if redness or discomfort occurs. For single use only. Sterile unless individual pouches opened or damaged.
Can be cut to shape. Place shiny side on wound. Use a bandage or tape such as PRIMACREPE or PRIMAFIX PLUS to secure. Change daily to more frequently if required.
