The MiniMed Sure-T is designed with a kink-free steel needle, the thinnest available in the MiniMed range, and includes an additional disconnection site 10cm from the infusion site for extra security against clogging and dislodging. The MiniMed Sure-T steel cannula is also suitable for individuals with soft cannula allergies.
If insulin or any liquid enters the tubing connector, it can temporarily block the vents needed for the pump to properly fill the infusion set. This may lead to incorrect insulin delivery, potentially causing hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia.
