Prednisolone sodium phosphate, the active ingredient in Redipred, is present in concentrations of 6.72 mg/mL (or 5 mg/mL) comparable to prednisolone. Refer to section 6.1 for the list of excipients. Redipred is a clear, colorless to slightly yellow, preserved aqueous solution with a raspberry flavor.
Prednisolone sodium phosphate 6.72 mg/1 mL, or prednisolone 5 mg/1 mL, is the active ingredient in Redipred. It has excipients with known effects, such as propyl hydroxybenzoate and methyl hydroxybenzoate, as well as sorbitol solution (70%) that is non-crystallizing.
Because redipred can alter the body's capacity to metabolize glucose, it may have an impact on your blood sugar levels. This implies that if you have diabetes, your condition could worsen. For others, taking corticosteroids like Redipred may cause diabetes to manifest for the first time.
Take the recommended dosage from your physician. Your doctor's recommended dosage of Redipred will be based on the ailment you are treating as well as how you respond to it. We will either maintain or modify your starting dose until we observe a satisfactory response. It is preferable to take redipred just after or along with food.
