Eletriptan is the active component in RELPAX® Migraine. It is used to treat migraineurs with a consistent, well-established pattern of symptoms in order to provide them with acute relief.* RELPAX® Migraine addresses migraines specifically and offers quick relief in as little as 30 minutes.*Relapax-treated patients showed noticeably higher response rates than placebo-treated individuals as early as 30 minutes after oral administration in controlled clinical trials.
Eletriptan hydrobromide, or 40 mg of eletriptan, is present in RELPAX MIGRAINE 40 mg tablets.
Use caution if you have heart illness, peripheral vascular disease (a blood vessel issue), high blood pressure, a history of heart attack or stroke, or if you have not previously received a medical diagnosis of migraine.Prior to using, consult your pharmacist or physician if you believe you may be at risk for heart disease (this includes postmenopausal women and men over 40); if you have liver or kidney issues or any other medical conditions; if you are taking any other medications, such as those for anxiety, depression, or migraines; and if you are pregnant or nursing.
Use guidelines (adults 18 to 65 years)
• As soon as a migraine episode starts, take one pill• You may take a second pill if the first one relieves your migraine but the symptoms return; however, you must wait at least two hours between tablets• If the first dose did not provide any response, do not take another one for the same attack• A maximum of 2 pills should not be taken daily.
