Intended Purpose

The Welcare Insect Bite Healer is intended for relieving itching and swelling 

caused by insect bites or stings by applying heat (local hyperthermia). Suitable for people over 3 years of age under supervision; for self-treatment by anyone over 12 years of age.

Limitations

This unit is intended for home-use only.

Contraindications

• This device heats up to 47°C or 50°C. Incorrect use could result in burns.

• DO NOT use if you suffer from diabetes or have reduced sensitivity to pain.

• DO NOT use the device on children under 3 years old, or people with reduced 

sensitivity to heat.

• DO NOT use on acutely or chronically diseased skin, inflamed skin, rashes, 

burns, frostbite, bruises, open or healing wounds, or surgical scars.

• DO NOT use the device on sensitive areas of skin.

• DO NOT use the device if you have any sensory impairment that reduces the 

feeling of pain (e.g. metabolic disorders).

• DO NOT use the device if you are using lotions, creams, and gels locally at the 

same time.

• DO NOT use the device if you suffer from persistently irritated skin due to 

long-term heat application on the same area of skin.

This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited 

physical, sensory, or mental abilities or lacking experience and/or knowledge, 

unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have 

received and understand the instructions/safety warnings for use of the product 

from this person in advance. Please read all the Safety Warnings provided with the product prior to using.

• Any person using it on themselves must be over 12 years old. The product 

should only be used on children under 12 years old if supervised or assisted 

by an adult.

• Before using the device, consult your doctor if you have any skin conditions 

or serious illness (especially if you have a propensity to thromboembolic 

conditions or recurrent malignant growths).

• Seek medical advice immediately if the symptoms persist despite using the 

insect bite healer and stop using it.

• Seek medical advice immediately if it is a tick bite or spider bite. The bite may 

result in the transmission of pathogens such as tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) 

or borreliosis.

• Seek medical advice immediately if the first signs of increased itching, skin 

redness, swelling, dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath, formation of wheals, 

or a drop or increase in blood pressure occur.

• DO NOT use near to the eyes, on the eyelids, mouth, or on mucous membranes.

• DO NOT allow children to play with the device.

• Store the device out of the reach of children and pets.

• Keep packaging material away from children (risk of suffocation).

• Please note the general hygiene measures when using the insect bite healer.

• If the device does not work properly, or if you feel unwell or experience pain, 

stop using it immediately.

Insert the 2 x AAA batteries into the unit and turn on the device.

1. Press the power button. The device status LED will light up green indicating readiness, a single buzzer sound indicates the device is ready for use.

2. Place the Heating Plate on the affected area immediatley after being bitten or stung.

3. Select mode 

 Mode 1: Quickly Press the Activation Button  1 time. The device  status LED will illuminate Blue. The device heats to 47°C (116.6°F).  Hold for 3 seconds.

 Mode 2: Quickly Press the Activation Button  2 times. The device status LED will illuminate Yellow. The device heats to 50°C (122°F).  Hold for 6 seconds.

4. A single buzzer sounds to indicate application is complete

5. Remove the Heating Plate from the affected area

6. Press the power button to turn the unit off (the device will automatically shut down after 5 minutes of inactivity).

7. If necessary, repeat the treatment after a 2-minute break
