The unique cyclone technology spiral structure of the Welcare Breatheasy Spacer base can form inhaled gas into the shape of a cyclone , so that the medication can be better concentrated into the lungs, providing a more effective therapeutic result.
Spacers are recommended universally for both adults and children.
The anti-static properties of the device may reduce side effects of residual medication left in the mouth, throat and stomach.
For use with a prescribed metered-dose inhaler only. Consult a healthcare professional before use. Not suitable for children under 3 years and children should use the product only under adult supervision. For single-person use only. Do not use harsh chemical cleaning agents, place in a dishwasher, expose to temperatures above 40°C or use while driving. Do not use if any component is damaged. Always follow the instructions supplied with the puffer and the spacer.
Attach the appropriate mask firmly to the inhalation mouthpiece, if required.
Remove the cap from the prescribed MDI (puffer) and shake well.
Insert the puffer fully into the connecting ring.
Place the mask securely over the mouth and nose, or place the mouth directly over the mouthpiece to create a seal.
Exhale gently into the chamber.
Press the puffer once only to release one dose into the spacer.
With the mask, breathe normally through the mouth 3–4 times. With the mouthpiece, inhale slowly and deeply and hold the breath for approximately 5 seconds.
If another dose is prescribed, repeat the process. Only one dose should be released into the spacer at a time.
